WHALEFALL

Whalefall is a challenging 2d deckbuilder roguelike game about exploring an alien ocean polluted by space travel Whalefall is FTL meets DND meets Slay the Spire. In Whalefall, players will battle ocean monstrosities with their small crew submarine. They will cultivate a unique deck full of abilities, attacks and actions that will shape each playthrough differently from the last.

When Whalefall begins, the ocean is already inhabited by many monstrous creatures, with no room for an exploratory submarine. In this tight-deck builder game, players will encounter handcrafted sea creatures based on real world animals living in our very oceans. 

As they progress deeper into the alien oceans, they will visit stranger locations, scarier monsters and tougher battles. Each run prepares the player better for the next one, as they will learn monster’s mechanics, which cards work best, and how to properly manage their ship.    

Whalefall does not show a way to stop the continued pollution of the Earth’s oceans, but shows what potentially horrible future could come out of it.
